“GCLS for Ukrainian Refugees” grantees
Let us present 15 community foundations that received grants in the “GCLS FOR UKRAINIAN REFUGEES” grant round – a special program created within the Global Challenges Local Solutions framework – to support community foundations dealing with refugee crisis caused by war in Ukraine.
This round was organized due to the decision of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation – a co-founder of the GCLS program – to lever additional funds for the above purpose.
These community foundations will use the grants for such activities as: supporting local communities accepting refugees; integration and adaptation activities for people arriving from Ukraine – i.a. legal, educational, psychological assistance; coordination of assistance and volunteer work for refugees; helping to organize their stay in the country; purchasing necessary equipment; as well as for institutional support for these CFs.
