PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Although the practices described below look trivial they actually pass the test and have helped many people to solve small problems.

1. Scholarships for Ukrainian students who have decided to study in a Polish school. Those who were undecided were encouraged to study in local schools. From the CFs point of view, this is the best form of learning Polish through contact with peers and active participation in lessons. As most of the students will stay in Poland for a longer period, knowing the language will make the students more independent and help their families. The amount of 100 zloty is not a lot, but it gives the students the opportunity to buy notebooks, missing books and give themselves small pleasures.
2. Micro-grants – sometimes a small amount of money is needed to launch an activity.

FLMS suggested to the Ukrainians that they should think about what is necessary for them to be able to realize their profession. Applications were simple, in most cases Polish tutors helped to fill them in.

Purchases were made by FLMS members to avoid misunderstandings. The sound equipment provided allowed the three musicians to give concerts for the patients, as well as to establish permanent cooperation with the Centre for Culture and Recreation in Ladek Zdrój, purchasing a battery for an old Mercedes allowed the daily commute from Trzebieszowice to Kłodzko to Kłodzko, the purchase of a manicure set, waxing machine and a cosmetic lamp allowed 3 ladies to provide services and the purchase of denim trousers for plumbers to undertake work on construction sites, etc.

3. The purchase of bicycles allowed refugees to become independent, to commute from the village to the city for work or to do shopping.
