We recently surveyed the 12 European community foundations that received grants in the 8th round of the GCLS program. Ten foundations responded, giving us valuable insights.

Projects made a real impact on local communities and addressed multiple SDGs, especially Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Quality Education (SDG 4), Sustainable Cities (SDG 11), Climate Action (SDG 13), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).

Foundations successfully engaged communities through social media, local media, schools, NGOs, municipalities, and local businesses, strengthening networks and partnerships.

Participating organizations reported growth in planning, communication, fundraising, SDG integration, and project management.

Almost all respondents (90%) plan to continue SDG-related activities, showing strong commitment to ongoing community impact.
