Meet the GCLS Round 9 Grantees-Northamptonshire Community Foundation

Twenty-five local organisations, twenty-five stories, and one question: what can a county learn about global challenges by looking at its own communities?

To mark its 25th anniversary, Northamptonshire Community Foundation is launching Think Global, Act Northamptonshire: 25 Stories of Change. The campaign will produce a series of short documentary-style videos featuring charities and community groups working on issues that affect everyday life across the county, from poverty and social isolation to health and wellbeing.

The films will follow people directly involved in these efforts, combining personal experiences with examples of practical action already taking place in local neighbourhoods. Rather than presenting the Sustainable Development Goals as a distant international agenda, the campaign shows how they connect to challenges that residents, volunteers and community organisations face every day.

Viewers will discover how local groups respond to complex social issues, what partnerships make this work possible, and how community-led solutions can create lasting benefits. Through real stories and conversations, the series offers a closer look at the people helping to shape a healthier and more inclusive Northamptonshire.

This project addresses SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
