8th Round of GCLS: Generation Impact for Local Young Philanthropy (Spain)

Generation Impact for Local Young Philanthropy is a project implemented by the Maimona Foundation, aimed at engaging young people in social responsibility activities by creating a mini-foundation

The project focuses on key  SDGs such as Sustainable Cities and Communities (Goal 11), Climate Action (Goal 13), Life on Land (Goal 15), and Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (Goal 16), while also promoting Quality Education (Goal 4) by creating an inclusive educational environment.

Young participants will have the opportunity to establish a temporary fund, secure co-financing, organize a call for climate-related projects, select the best ones, and monitor their implementation and impact.

Key activities include fund creation and training in philanthropy and fundraising, organizing events to raise funds, and creating and evaluating microprojects.

Success will be measured by the number of participants (at least 15 people aged 16-25), the amount of funds raised (at least €2,000), and the number of projects implemented (2-3 microprojects).

The communication strategy includes press releases, public events, social media campaigns, and a dedicated website, with participants encouraged to share project updates.

Generation Impact aims to inspire young people to take action for social change and promote sustainable development.
