The OSCF is an independent local fundraiser and grant-maker NGO, spreading the culture of charity, and building a conscious, responsible, active, and creative community through different grants and projects.
Project goals:
- The main goal of this project is to promote and raise awareness in the Odorheiu Secuiesc community of the importance of Sustainable Development Goals, mainly the 7, 9, 11, and 12 SDGs, and create joint plans to achieve them.
- Stimulate youth to think and create, express themselves, and their ideas related to the 7, 9, 11 and 12 SDGs and become more conscious about it and act responsively.
- To highlight local companies that already conduct valuable activities related to the 7, 9, 11 and 12 SDGs and inspire other companies to think about SDGs and their possible steps to achieving them on their level.
Planned activities:
- Widespread Promotion of the SDGs (7 months):
- Press conferences and radio interviews.
- Project webpage development.
- Creation of a project roll-up.
- Regular Facebook posts.
- Mini-Conference on SDGs:
- Identify and engage local companies linked to SDGs.
- Approximately 12 presenters for the conference.
- Production of short films (30-60 seconds) highlighting each company’s connection with the SDGs.
- Continuous presentation of short films on OSCF’s Facebook page and website.
- Approximately 80 participants.
- Call for Applications for Creative People:
Topic: How to achieve the 4 SDGs (7, 9, 11 and 12) in Odorheiu Secuiesc: photo, painting, creation from recycled materials, song, short film, etc. The creations will be evaluated by a professional committee.
- Exhibition of creations.
- Organize visits to companies for the winners.
- Bottle Cup MOSAIC Competition.
- addressed to student teams created from 10 members from 1st to 12th class.
- The theme of the MOSAICs: How can we achieve the 4 SDGs mentioned above? The creations will be implemented from bottle cups as mosaics on the competition day. The creations will be evaluated by a professional committee. There will be created a short film about the event.
